Senior Agency Lead - GIPHY

GIPHY is looking for a dynamic Agency Lead to drive revenue growth and share of market by leading strategic partnerships with the big six  agencies. This role is perfect for an experienced digital sales leader with a proven track record of revenue growth, cultivating long-term client relationships, and executing impactful campaigns. As a key player in expanding GIPHY’s advertising business, the Agency Lead will focus on both new business development and fostering deeper brand engagement within the digital advertising space.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Revenue Growth: Develop and implement strategies to maximize GIPHY’s ad products and services with agencies, driving new market opportunities and aligning with long-term growth objectives. Enhance GIPHY’s standing as a leading platform for digital advertising in a competitive marketplace.

  • Ownership of Revenue Generation: Own the revenue targets for your portfolio, focusing on prioritizing clients, campaigns, and sectors to maximize long-term revenue. Collaborate with internal teams to align resources and deliver exceptional results.

  • Business Development: Build and expand a strong business pipeline by identifying and converting new opportunities with strategic account leads at agencies. Lead outreach, relationship-building, and sales efforts to secure long-term, high-value partnerships that consistently exceed sales goals.

  • Long-Term Client Relationships: Cultivate and manage long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at top agencies. Provide tailored solutions.with a focus on C-Suite and Executive Leaders to meet both short-term campaign needs and long-term brand loyalty, driving ongoing revenue through renewals and upselling.

  • Forecasting & Strategic Planning: Own the sales pipeline, reporting on progress, identifying roadblocks, and delivering accurate revenue forecasts. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure strategic alignment and maximize campaign success.

  • Agency Education & Programming: Develop and deliver educational content and programming that educates agencies on the value of GIPHY's advertising solutions, including media planning, investment, and social strategy.

  • Thought Leadership & Brand Representation: Represent GIPHY at industry events, panels, and conferences, positioning GIPHY as a thought leader in digital advertising.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including investment, planning, and research, to drive revenue growth and ensure excellent service across all facets of agency relationships.

  • Revenue Tracking & Optimization: Track revenue performance across your portfolio of agencies, ensuring targets are met and making adjustments as needed.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • 8 years of proven success in digital media sales, brand partnerships, or advertising strategy, particularly with big six agencies.

  • A robust network within established relationships in agency leadership roles.

  • A strong track record of exceeding sales targets and/or developing and growing agency clients delivering measurable business impact through strategic thinking and negotiation expertise.

  • Expertise in navigating complex agency relationships and influencing key stakeholders.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to develop impactful sales strategies that generate significant revenue growth.

  • Proven ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Direct experience managing and growing revenue through agencies and developing lasting relationships at the C-level.

  • A passion for being part of a fast-growing digital business with the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.

The total compensation for this position is in the range of $260,000 - $290,000 per year in New York. The total compensation is inclusive of the company's accelerated commission scheme, offering the opportunity to earn uncapped additional performance-based compensation based on exceeding revenue targets.
