JOB DESCRIPTION

Shutterstock is seeking a Global Affiliate Manager for a 12-15 month contract to drive the growth and success of our affiliate channel across multiple brands and international markets.

This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize affiliate-driven revenue, recruit and nurture high-performing partners, and optimize program performance. The ideal candidate is a proactive, data-driven marketer with strong negotiation skills, a keen focus on ROI, and a deep understanding of affiliate marketing dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Affiliate Growth & Partnerships:

    • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to onboard new affiliates globally.

    • Cultivate, manage, and expand relationships with existing affiliates to maximize performance.

    • Negotiate competitive commission structures and contractual terms to drive revenue growth.

  • Performance Analysis & ROI Optimization:

    • Continuously analyze affiliate performance, identifying trends and opportunities to improve ROI.

    • Develop and present reports on key performance metrics, such as conversion rates, EPC, and revenue impact.

    • Implement data-driven strategies to optimize affiliate mix, commission structures, and campaign performance.

    • Forecast performance and manage budgets effectively to ensure profitability and efficiency.

  • Industry Engagement & Networking:

    • Represent Shutterstock at industry conferences and networking events to recruit top affiliates.

    • Increase program visibility through newsletters, promotional campaigns, and competitive offerings.

    • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor strategies to maintain a strong market presence.

  • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment:

    • Work closely with internal teams, including Paid Media, BI, Product, and Finance, to align affiliate strategies with overall business goals.

    • Share performance updates, insights, and best practices with internal stakeholders.

    • Efficiently manage and forecast affiliate marketing budgets, ensuring profitable growth.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA is a plus.

  • 5+ years of experience in affiliate marketing, with a proven track record of managing multi-million dollar budgets.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, optimize campaigns, and improve ROI.

  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills, with experience driving revenue through direct affiliate partnerships and networks.

  • Expertise in affiliate marketing platforms (e.g., Impact, Partnerize, Rakuten) and experience with program setup or migration.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analytics to track performance and identify growth opportunities.

  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong attention to detail.

  • Self-starter with a strategic mindset, but also hands-on in execution.

  • Comfortable networking, pitching, and discussing deal specifics at industry events.

  • Deep understanding of affiliate motivations and how to align them with business goals.

This 12-15 month role is an exciting opportunity to take Shutterstock’s affiliate marketing program to the next level and drive impactful results in a global setting. If you’re passionate about building high-performing partnerships and scaling affiliate marketing initiatives while focusing on ROI and data-driven decision-making, we’d love to hear from you!
